WE ARE KALIMA

We work with women to give access to education to all the girls and women around the world.

THE CHALLENGE:

According to UNESCO, there are an estimated 130 million girls between the ages of 6 and 17 out of school. 15 million primary school-aged girls will likely never enter a classroom in their lifetime. Those from the poorest families are more likely to be out of school than their peers from more affluent communities.

WHO WE ARE

Kalima.ngo is a non-profit foundation advocating for the access to education to girls and women in Africa. Discover who we are and how we get started.

WHY WE DO IT

As African proverb says, “If we educate a boy, we educate one person. If we educate a girl, we educate a family — and a whole nation”.

WHAT WE DO

We bring to light the journeys of women who have completed and/ or are about to complete astonishing and unexpected achievements in their lives.

EDUCATION + ACTION = FUTURE EDUCATED GENERATIONS

A way to elevate African girls and women's voices is to let them tell their own stories.

YOU HAVE A ROLE TO PLAY

Together, we can build a world where every woman can get access to education and impact her community positively.

As many claim, investing in a girl’s education is investing in a nation. For every boy that is educated, every girl should be educated too.
